Two highly abstracted upside-down profile human symbolic portraits oppose one another “nose to nose” amidst multi-layered fields of organic abstraction. A range of oranges, yellows and tinted white hues glow as the LED light courses through the layers of plexiglass and the translucent paints. The work asks us to examine who we see when we look into the mirror and references the physiological fact that our eyes turn the world upside-down first, with our brain then righting the image to make it right side up for our conscious minds.
