In this painting I used a reference photo from my childhood in panama juxtaposed in front of large stack of golden pallets and the Hollywood Hills. I wanted to tie my entire life together in one image, my family history and my current state of where I live in Los Angeles. The pallets are a common theme in my paintings symbolized balance, structure, strength and also refers to the consumerist ideology of what it means to be an artist and produce art as a commodity.
