Artist: Sarah London

“It doesn’t matter where Sarah is from or how she got here. What matters is that we band together and try to stop her.” — Lesser Men

Born to a truck-driving father and an opera-singing mother, Sarah’s filmmaking echoes the succulence and nostalgia of her childhood in Northern California among the overgrown trailer parks. We watch her child-self, dirty feet and all, firmly plant her defunct family tree before us, a decaying relic that screams: if we stay here, we’ll die. With one hand over the eye, and another over your mouth, she eventually seats us at her feast, a table teetering beautiful upon the line of humanity and consequence.
