Vickie Vainionpää is a Canadian artist whose work considers the impact of technology on the process of painting. Her ongoing series, Soft Body Dynamics, she creates images of twisting, tubular forms using generative 3D modeling software. This series and others by Vickie ask questions about the fundamental nature of creating art, from the stroke to the artist’s hand. She holds a BA from the University of Waterloo and has had exhibitions featured everywhere from Galerie AVE in Montreal to Museo Belvedere di San Leucio in Italy.
